Internet Basics and Mastering Search Engines
Author: CompassPoint Nonprofit Services
This class is designed for students who have e-mailed and surfed the web a little, but are still unsure of how everything works. It aims to help students overcome frustration with trying to find useful information on the World Wide Web. This is a hands-on workshop, which also provides an overview and history of the Internet. It covers hyperlinks, how to use search engines to find information on the Web, and browser features that make time on-line much more productive.

A Good Basic Overview

I used this to help someone who needed the basics of searching for info on the Internet. It proved to be a valuable tool, as is the Trainingpoint service.
